Dress for Success Webinars and Virtual Workshops
For women navigating the world of work during COVID-19 disruption, there is a new normal. Here at Dress for Success, we are working to continue providing resources for women while we can’t physically be together.
During this time of isolation, join the women and volunteers of Dress for Success Charleston County for an hour of networking and learning at our free virtual workshops (various dates).

April 15 – Creative Writing for Expression in Uncertain Times
Creative writing is one of the most fulfilling ways to express yourself, especially during times of stress and uncertainty. During this workshop, author and journalist Alanna Schubach will help women look at their current experiences through a writer’s eyes, gaining confidence and perspective. April 16 – Networking and Job Seeking During COVID-19 Disruption
For women navigating the world of work during COVID-19 disruption, there is a new normal. Maggie Gregg is an executive coach and strategist, currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at The Estée Lauder Companies. During this hour, she’ll help participants navigate trends in the current job market as well as understand new skills that can help them stand out during virtual job searching and networking.

April 17 – Win Your Next Video Call or Interview: 5 Ways to Be a More Effective Virtual Communicator
Have you suddenly been asked to handle calls, meetings, interviews or presentations on video? This workshop will help you become an effective communicator on camera. Join Heather Hansen, a trial attorney with over 20 years of experience. She will use the tools she taught her clients with to “win” every video interview or conference call you have.
This workshop is an encore presentation for those who could not join the first time.

Women are bearing the brunt of coronavirus economic disruption, especially those who are primary wage earners for their families. In times of crisis, there are best practices can help safeguard against unexpected obstacles. Venetta Vanhorne is a financial professional with New York Life Insurance Company. In this hour, she will share guidance on what women can do to maintain financial security in difficult times.
