Debra Stewart serves as Senior Vice President and Community Development Financial Advisor for Pinnacle Financial Partners. In this role, Debra develops and implements programs to ensure that Pinnacle meets the banking needs in the South Carolina markets where Pinnacle has a presence. She is especially interested in promoting lending and investments that help meet the borrowing needs of small businesses, as well as, meeting the homebuyer needs of low to moderate income families.
Debra regularly conducts in-person calls to small business owners, nonprofit organizations, centers of influence (COIs), and existing clients at their places of business. She creates engaging, lifelong relationships, with organizations, which place the best interest of our community at the heart of their work.
Debra is a graduate of the College of Charleston, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She has been in banking for over 39 years and has served in numerous roles such as Branch Manager, Mortgage Lender, Small Business Banker, Private Banker, Business Development Officer and CRA Officer.
Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Metanoia, Inc and Palmetto Community Action Partners. She is also a general member of the Climb Fund, a member of the College of Charleston Alumni Association and a member of the International Church.
She is the recipient of several awards such as the Spirit of Wachovia Award, the C.P. Mitchell Award, the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry Award and the College of Charleston Trio Award.
Debra is married to Leroy Stewart. They have two sons and four grandchildren.
