Aisha Singletary

Payroll Analyst
2022 Honoree

Aisha Singletary is the current Payroll Analyst for Charleston County School District. She recently completed her term as President of the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Charleston. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors for Metanoia.

Aisha is from the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago where she lived for 18 years before attending the College of Charleston. At the College of Charleston, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Immediately following, she earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University.

After obtaining her degrees, she worked for Charleston County Human Services, a nonprofit organization. Working in human services was her first real experience with others who were less fortunate. In her position with the organization, she was afforded the opportunity to help others. Aisha learned that helping others had become a passion. Through her networks at Charleston County Human Services, she found Dress for Success.

As an avid volunteer, Mrs. Singletary have assisted with dressing clients and participating in clothing drives (pick-ups from locations and sorting etc.) as well as serving as a member of the Board.

Aisha Singletary continued her work with Dress for Success even after she left Human Services. She worked for Cummins Turbo Technologies and continued in her passion to serve others as she led various community efforts including increasing participation rates for Trident United Way’s Day of Caring from a rate of 55% to a rate of 92%.

Helping and giving is now more than a passion for Aisha. This is the way that she lives and the way that she was raised by her family. Aisha believes that we must all do our part to be successful. I am proud to do my part with the teams of Dress for Success.
